Derwent Entertainment Centre (DEC) is the largest indoor arena in Tasmania and the multi-purpose arena is the primary venue in Hobart for large indoor functions/events.

Currently, the design works aimed at increasing the seating capacity are underway. In order to increase number of seats the Centre will be extended on the rear side. The extensions will require existing column removal, and therefore, alternative support to the existing and new roof structure consisting of an arc steel truss is proposed.
